D300 in Africa

Got home Thursday pm, then a Muskoka WC workshop Saturday, and a Birds in Flight on Sunday! crazy busy, and now about 14,000 images to cull, edit, prepare for a book, and websites... hands are full!

Africa was much more then I expected, no fences, baiting, calls, just pure wildlife. My partners in Tanzania were awesome, great food, guides, accommodations... all excellent!! Even the dust and flies were not bad... we picked a great time of year, so I am lucky to have another program for Jan. 2012.... and the Oct 2011 is going to be interesting, as we travel through a more northern area of the Serengeti National Park.., If I could, I would just move there!

We saw and photographed the big 5, along with lots of birds, and other interesting animals. My guests were awesome, we all had a great time. Sleeping in the tent in the middle of the Serengeti was amazing, I could here elephants, lions, and hyenas through the night... and birds were non stop !! Weather was excellent, almost no rain.

My best 40 images are being put aside for a book publication, but these images make for interesting seconds. Most of the book images will be my best action shots.

here we go...
