D7000 thinks Tokina is Tamron

Forgive me if this one has been covered already in this forum. I have a D7000 and a handful of lenses including the original screwdriven Tamron 17-50. I've found that the Tamron back focuses a bit on the D7000 so I dialed in some micro AF adjust and all is well. This week I picked up a Tokina 12-24mm (screwdriven version). Mounted it, noted some soft focus at 24mm and went in to make a micro adjustment. Upon doing so, I discovered that the D7000 had identified the Tokina as my Tamron 17-50.

Anyone else experienced this or heard about something similar? Any ideas how to help the body tell the two lenses apart?
