NEX PR0N

Had the vague idea that if you combined a thin lensbaby or whatever tilting mount with a lens that itself also shifted and tilted, you would end up with an ultra compact equivalent of my old 4x5 view camera. That is to say you could shift the lens up, and lens-tilt it to some sort of desired focal plane, and then tilt the rear tilting mechanism to make the camera back parallel to the lens again.

The only problem is that there are not many people besides Uhoh07 who both (a) understand the significance of all that, and (b) would not feel compelled and able to use larger format equipment anyway, for such a demanding photo.

oly 135 f/2.8 around 330 grams--maybe 360

100:

In fact, it seems extremely nice, handles very well on nex, you can hold it in one hand with no strain on the mount.

In a week or so I will unveil the lightest smallest 135 for the nex I can find. It's not as fast as this though.

Perhaps on a tripod?
lots of reviews out there on the oly, at f8 and with the aps-C you can bet it's very sharp, and the super compact minolta md 135 f/3.5 w/49mm filter, 270 grams, is also supposed to be very sharp at F8. They are both modern lenses, post 1980. I will put of some pics of the 25.00 minolta when I get it. I think it will even eclipse the konica as the best legacy deal for the nex, especially when you consider how far out is is from the 18-55.

a bit more smut

1959 canon f/1.4 50 LTM, 246 grams about 300usd

the fantastic 1958 50mm f/1.8 v3 188 grams, super crisp, prices vary from 120-280.

CV skopar 21mm, 136 grams, good price is 250

Both lovely, and they look in fantastic shape as well. It'd be fun to get together a bunch of us Canon 50 guys - me with my 1957 1.2.

I'm jealous, but at current prices that gorgeous thing is just out of my league

Maybe I will find a steal someday, hehe

I also crave a 100 f/2, and was bidding on one but dropped out when bidding passed 300

I do have a 85 f/1.9 (wish for 1.8) coming soon.

I think the real jewels for the nex are th 50 f/1.8 and the 100 f/3.5, just because they are really light, very affordable, and superb performers.

But I would love to have the .95 50, hehe

Just noticed how small your adapter is on that canon lens. I am also using an old canon fd lens but my adapter sticks out 3/4 of an inch. I know the adapters for voightlander, pen-f and contax-g are nice and short but didn't think it possible for canon.

They're not SLR lenses but rather built to Leica rangefinder screw mount standards with much smaller flange distance requirements.

google "canon rangefinder"

also go to flickr and search for the same.

You will see the extensive line of canon rangefinder cameras for which these lenes were made.

The same is true of Nikon.
