It was Monday, time for a New Rebel.

I suppose Canon has a rigid replacement schedule that has not been updated to reflect the changes they made themselves.

The decision to split the XXD into upper and lower body should have impacted the rigid Rebel release schedule.

Before the 600D release I was truly puzzled about how Canon can introduce a model between the 60D and 550D?

I'm not a marketing expert, but I find the current line of Canon DSLRs excessive and unbalanced. I have a hunch is not a good idea.

I won't be surprised if many customers get turned off by just the difficulty of choosing between all these many models.

And I said unbalanced, because Canon doesn't have a camera model based on APS-H, placed between the 1D4 and the 60D, in price and features.
That would be truly a new category.

Also, Canon has yet to make a mirrorless model, their DSLRs are getting a little bit long in the tooth..
