I agree about not using HDR to this intensity. The goal with RE photography is to represent the space as accurately (and aesthetically pleasing) as possible. Venturing into the 'artsy' side here is not advisable.

Also, as another poster said don't go wider than about 20mm (in 35mm format) for interiors as the perspective distortion can look very unnatural (look stretched) especially with objects close to the camera. I try and use the longest focal length I can for my intended shot. The only time I shoot wider than needed is when I need to tilt the camera with intent to fix verticals on PP later, I go wider for cropping room.
