That's so very true. I wanted the D7000 even before it came out. In theory it was even better than the more upscale D300s in many ways and so much cheaper. I quickly changed my mind when I saw the initial onslaught of complaints. I'll keep my D300 for some time yet. There doesn't seem to be a lot of complaints regarding their lenses though. I've never had a problem with any of the Nikon lenses I had myself which is more than I can say about Sigma. I've had a Nikon D40 that performed flawlessly but the D40X I have now has at least ten hot pixels.
