Re: AF issues: D7000 and Nikkor AF-S 35 mm f/1.8

where are all the trolls and mockers that frown upon anyone that dares to imply that his D7000 has a problem???

2nd round of tests for those that care and might have a problem too...

test setup:

firstly i used the light boxes to shoot the spyderlenscal, daylight bulbs, 5000k wb on camera, nikkor 35mm f1.8 @f1.8, Μ 1/250, af-s, center focus point, af assist light on, 3pod,, remote control, and tested af tune settings: off / on 0 / on -5 / on -10 / on -15 / on -20. 3 shots per settings and before each shot i put the lens to manually focus at infinite to force refocusing...

i attach here 2 samples (100% crops) of af tune off and af tune -10...

then i switched off the lights and turned on a halogen light that emits much warmer light... 3000k wb on camera, Μ 1/400.

again i attach samples of af tune off and af tune -10...

it is clear to me that the warmer light makes the camera backfocus... in even warmer light it needs a -20 adjustment to keep the focus on target... that means that i cannot use a single af tune adjustment as the camera changes behavious depending the surrounding light...
