I saw some modern pictures of the same places that look disturbingly similar to PG's photos. Everything is the same but dilapidated and shabby. The Pantheon was built of concrete http://www.aviewoncities.com/rome/pantheon.htm over 2000 years ago. The Romans invented concrete of course,the modern world could not exist without it's rediscovery.The CCCP is dead for many reasons, believe it or not there are many that still mourn it in Russia no need to kick the corpse.
