Re: Aperture 3.1.1 hung in full screen mode

In all cases, especially when something is hung, try as hard as possible to NOT just switch the computer off with the power switch or pull the plug. You can create major havoc and totally bugger your boot drive or backup doing this. Instead, search for a better way to get out of the hung state. If you can access the dock icons, force quit the program from there. Or use the keyboard commands already suggested. After anything like this occurs, use the keyboard commands in Aperture at startup to bring up the choices for fixing and rebuilding the database. If you have routinely used the power switch to "fix" things like this, you really need to get a copy of DiskWarrior and use it to rebuild the directly of the disk. Also, some have reported that using something like "iDefrag" to defragment the drive where you Aperture library sits is sometimes useful after a Library rebuild.

Only my opinion. It's worth what you paid for it. Your mileage may vary! ;-}
