Taking photos at night with 60D
This is my first post here after browsing online for a few weeks. I've found a great amount of useful information on this site and that helped me make a decision on my first purchase of a DSLR. I purchased the Canon 60D and so far It has been a great. My question is on the subject of taking photos at night. I have had really good luck with capturing images in well lit areas, however at night when shooting outside, I have had mixed success. I would appreciate any input that one has to offer on this subject. I am shooting with a 60D & 18-55mm IS lens. After watching this time lapse video on the link below, I was wondering how the images were so clean and smooth even at night. Could it be the lens selection that he was shooting with? These are the type of images that I am going for and I would greatly appreciate any guidance.
