SB400 and D7000
I recently acquired a D7000, a very nice camera.
It's a nice step up from my D80. I especially like using the D7000 with my 55mm Micro Nikkor in "A" mode, along with the infrared remote controlled mirror lockup mode. Finally, some nice sharp small item images.
Although I have an SB-600, I'm considering keeping an SB-400 with a Sto-Fen Omni-Bounce atop the D7000. This should work nicely for general living room bounce use, and also should be a nice setup to document step-by-steps in my little woodworking shop.
However, the SB-400 does not seem to be generally available from my local shops, and even B&H and Amazon are out of stock on the USA models.
Does anyone know why the scarcity? Is there a replacement for the SB-400 pending?
Thanks in advance.
