snow images on film
Going back a few years and relating to my latest post on creating snow hoods, the Central Park image was with a Rollei 35 40mm f3.5 (with its box like snap on hood). A freezing film camera with a tiny front element was less vulnerable to snow or snow melt on the lens... just tearing film with impatient film advance.
The shot on the Brooklyn Bridge was meant to be taken with an early Nikon digital model (non SLR). A fully charged camera battery was dead on arrival for the shot. So glad I had a Leica R6 with me as well.
By the way, in the bridge shot, the texture is blizzard snow... not noise or grain. My coldest shot EVER!
I hope I get a second chance with the E-1 or 3 though I'd probably prefer the E-1 for this scenario.
