How good is the MP-E 65?

Here's a little fun quiz for Christmas.

One of the two following images was shot with an MP-E 65 at about 1.5:1, and the other was shot with an EF 50/1.8 II with 65mm of extension tubes and a 250D (cost ~$300). Which is which?

One of the two following images was shot with an MP-E 65 at 5:1, and the other was shot with an old Pentax 50mm reversed on the front of an EF-S 55-250 (cost ~$250). Which is which?

Sorry about different lighting, they are quick shots rather than lab quality. (All shot at f/11, f/9.5 on the Pentax. JPEGs extracted from raw files, resized without sharpening. Don't bother checking for the answer in the EXIF. :-))

The MP-E is nicer to use and much easier to focus, but are the images obviously a lot better? You be the judge.
