One problem with auto-ISO in M-mode on K-x is that exposure compensation is not available in M-mode. So you would have no way of adjusting exposure with auto-ISO.

K-x would need an extra wheel for controlling exposure, or an extra button to shift between aperture and shutter speed in TAv-mode (or M-mode with auto-ISO) for it to be fully usable.

I hadn't thought about that. But it would at least still be usable when no exposure compensation is needed... in "normal" situations where the camera's metering is accurate.
