My e-410 has been very tough indeed.

The 14-54 zoom lens is great value for money, weathersaealed and has a nice F2.8 max aperture. You might want to buy one of those next.

As to the 14-54, just makes sure you get the MkII version, as it is highly suitable for micro four thirds cameras, it being optimised for contrast focus. Although the 12-60 gives you a tonne more width, its a lot more expensive, and I do not think its as well setup for contrast focus.
