Oly 14-42 lens wobbly
It's wobbly for a reason. Unfortunately, many people have lost track of the reason and they think it's a defect.
The collapsible nature of the lens requires that a number of concentric barrel shaped sections be able to fit together. During the design phase of the lens, there was concern that barrel sections with perfectly parallel walls would bind under certain conditions. Therefore the sections were designed with a slight taper to insure that they could moved easily. This gives the lens it's characteristic wobble.
This was fairly well reported during the early days of m4/3 but is a largely forgottne piece of trivia now.
