... Comes around fast, doesn't it ?

So, what have you been up to this past week ?

Many here simply wish to share their love of photography. So, the purpose of this thread is simply to provide opportunity to share what you've been doing.

There are two simple rules :
  • Play nice
  • If in doubt, refer rule #1
So, what have you been up to ? Care to post them here ?

Cheers.

Nothing from you yet Dave?

I've not been using the fuji's for a little bit, but finally got round to printing one of my multi stitch panoramic shots from the S5600 on a larger paper size (16x12in) and I was stunned at how well it held up. So I'm going to carry on creating these multi shot versions at least for large prints. I then processed some older fuji shots that I should have done a long time ago, ready for some printing (oh, as well as playing with your raf files).
This was the one I got printed (albeit without the border and writing....)

This is another multi shot I was thinking of getting printed (F30)

and this is just a single shot from the S6500 that makes me feel warmer while surrounded by snow...(although it was taken after clearing rain and wasn't a particularly warm day.....)

One from Alaska, next two from cruise's end in San Francisco.

First is glacial melt outside Juneau. Note the size of the people for scale.

Second is the Maritime Museum in San Francisco. (RedynaMix)

Third is Alcatraz. That one was taken so early in the morning that I had to run it through RedynaMix to get anything out of it all.

... Each one of those is superb and the last is magical. I would certainly make prints from them.

I spent some time looking through your Landscapes folder yesterday.

Seeing your images makes me rethink much of what I do with photography, both from capture through to the edit.

Your body of work is excellent and very appealing. There are some truly wonderful images in there.

I'll try and get through some of the other galleries in the next few days. I am sure it will be a similarly enjoyable experience.

Cheers.

I don't know what to say, especially coming from a photographer whose work I enjoy so much (and actually keep coming back here to ftf to see even though I'm not posting regularly). Thankyou for such kind comments. - (just had a thought, you didn't click on someone else's gallery by mistake.....!?)

... Just some of my favourites below. There are more than this though.

By the way, what do you use to stitch your pano's and multi-shots ?

Cheers.

Lovely pictures. The Alcatraz image has a great mood to it.

Hugin, but I don't have any experience with any others apart from Autostitch which I tried first. Plus the Hugin I use is a couple of years old and I think newer versions are out see http://hugin.sourceforge.net/ if you're interested.

Do you shoot any stitched images? (I don't remember you mentioning any in your posts, but that may just mean I don't drop in often enough)
