My Head is Ready to Explode

I am going to buy the a33, but have spent many hours researching lens options and still do not know what to do. One minute I think I've made a decision and then I read something new that makes me doubt my decision. I really would prefer one lens like the Sony 18-250 or Tamron 18-200 so I would not have to change lenses, but this is probably unrealistic based on what I've read. A great zoom for wildlife is a must as well as something to take good photos of landscapes, buildings, etc. when we travel or hike. But, I also love doing close-ups of bugs, flowers, etc. My dog is another favorite subject. Portraits are not something I do much of. Any advice based on your experience is what I am seeking. I would definitely like to keep the cost of a lens or lenses less than $1000. My husband would probably prefer that I keep it under $500. : ) Thanks for any help you may have to offer.
