24-70 f2.8 or 24-120 f4 vr11
I have a D300 and I would like to purchase a D700 in the future, could be as long as a year.
I use a nikkor 12-24 lens, 16-85 vr lens, 50 f1.4 and a 70-300 vr.
I would like to purchase one of the full frame lenses to use on my D300 until I am able to buy a D700.I really Like the 16-85vr lens ,that I use most of the time on my D300 and the image quality is great.
I need some help to figure out what is my best option for the future.
Can I use the 12-24 on a D700 and what would be the widest zoom that I can use with this lens.I would keep my D300 as a back up body.
Is the image quality of the 24-70 f2.8 or 24-120 f4 much better than the 16-85vr lens.I am leaning towards the 24-120vr lens because of the vr and it becomes a 36-180 lens. Most of my prints are 16x20, and as large as a 40x60.
