My system won't boot any more!

Grrr! I was working on the computer yesterday (new build, about a month old), it froze up. I can't get it to boot except in safe mode. And there's just so much you can do in safe mode!

I have progressively tried several levels of restore points and have also restored from a system image backup I saved two days ago. I have tried booting from the Windows DVD. No change in behavior. I have run CHKDSK on C:, which is an intel SSD, have run the Windows Memory Diagnostic Tool, and for the last hour the machine has been running Prime95 in Safe Mode. No problem accessing any of my disks.

Symptoms are that the system gets through the BIOS, then the Windows logo and "Starting Windows...." message comes up on the screen, and after some delay normal for my system, it blackscreens and is stuck right there, unresponsive except to the reset switch.

I'm stuck. Any ideas?

Stan
