D90 + 50mm 1.8D using AF-C
Shooting with the D90 and 50mm 1.8D for the first time yesterday and I'm a bit disappionted at the AF-C speed. Seems to be a good bit slower than my 18-50 2.8 HSM Sigma.
I was shooting my 2yr old son who is always on the move. I used the focus point to the right of centre and shot in portrait. The AF didn't seem to adjust fast enough when he was running towards me.
The AF-C is very fast when shooting with my 70-300VR aswell.
Am I simply asking to much from the D90 and non motor lens?
I'm guessing the D90s AF system is the weak link in the chain as the lens is tack sharp using AF-S with statics.
Aperture was between 2 and 3.2
Maybe the other focus points aren't as great as the centre point.
