and who did you vote for last week?

The US government under Ronald Reagan sent government employees down to Mexico at taxpayer expense to participate in conferences to encourage American businesses to relocate to Mexico. Gotten worse since then. All you have to do is look at the harmonized tariff schedule where you will see which items come into the US with no tariff and which ones have a heavy tariff. The only imports discouraged are drugs (legal and illegal) and and the beef industry and a few others. No tariffs on laptops or power tools or many other consumer and industrial goods. The banks that got taxpayer money to bail them out have stopped making loans to businesses to buy machinery or finance payrolls so US manufacturing businesses are in a holding pattern as far as activity in the US. While GM was closing factories in the US it was busy expanding them in China. Your next Chevy is likely to arrive on the same boat as your next Apple computer (and same goes for Lenovo, Acer, Sony, HP, Dell, Seagate, etc., etc.).
