Is 1280 a good price for a used 7D? It's either this or a new 60D.

Is that a body only price? Unless I really knew the history of the used 7D, I would go for a new 60D.

Actually it's my second time watching that video.
Both cameras have good points, for some reason, I can't get the 3 camera settings out of my mind. I use it ALL the time on the 40D, the 60D only has one.

LOL! That's exactly what I did.

Yeah I laughed at that part too, honestly, for 1100 bucks, you can't ask for more of a camera than what it is now, have to cut corners somewhere. If people disagree, there's always the 7D. ;-)

I paid $1250.00 for my used 7d from B&H. I had about 6k shots on it when I got it. I am very happy and glad I got it over the 60d. Im sure I would have been happy with the 60d, but for a few extra dollars...I couldnt turn down the 7d.
I bought a used 7D last year for 1600 CDN. less than 500 shutter counts and a reciept to boot. Just make sure you closely inspect it. I was lucky when the mirror box failed, covered under warranty. When you meet up with this person make sure he has a bill. You may not know how he/she got it. Good luck. 7D much better choice over the 60D

I made the deal and have it in my hand, works great, file count shows 717, and battery info shows shutter count of 461, so something is not right. Is there a tool I can use to determine the true shutter count? But other than that, for 1260, I'm one happy camper, BIG upgrade from 40D!!! :-D

The 7Ds shutter is good for thousands of operations, so I would not worry.

you have to trust the seller..otherwise there is no way to verify the 5000 clicks.

Yeah I agree, I trust the file count more, from what I was told, seller didn't use it as much and previous owner wanted to upgrade to 5DMKII. At any rate, I'm going to enjoy taking pictures with this camera.
