Google Ads for commissions

Hi everyone,

I'm using Google Ads to drive traffic to my site in order to secure commissions for events, portraits, commercial jobs, public sector etc.. This is working well with an average of one serious enquiry for every £15 spent. Almost all enquiries result in jobs.

I've set up 5 ads which vary a little and then 40-50 keywords. I set Google to auto bid for me. However, more than half of my clicks are from 'display ads' rather than 'search ads'. There's no way of seeing whether all the enquiries are coming from either.....

Is there a feeling that either display or search ads are better for photographer marketing? i.e. the type of ads clickers who might be potential clients?

Thanks for any input!

Alex.
