ViewNX 2 memory leak and finally not able to view RAW

Hi guys,

I'm having trouble with ViewNX 2 since a week or two now.
I don't recall it doing this since I installed it in August.

When I open a folder with lets say 100 NEF files, and start to view them 1 by 1 in Browser or Edit mode, and click on the RAW button on the left to display raw image, it loads in memory the RAW image but it never release it, meaning when I'm viewing the 15th or 20th image in RAW it'll just freeze and say "unsupported image file type" or something like that.

I look at the memory consumption and see that it uses 1.6Gb of RAM and I have 20Mb free (out of 4Gb), the rest is 1Gb cache and 1Gb system.

so the only way to keep viewing my NEFs is to switch off the RAW mode, so it displays the preview stored in the NEF file. (or to close ViewNX and restart it at the image I checked last)

I'm on win7 64 bit.

Anyone experienced this ? Is Nikon aware of this cache problem ?
