Panorma with G2

HI Friends,

Just a question? does G2 have panorama still images capability. I know there is no sweep panorama but can we click separate frames and combine with supplied software?

Yes you can do panoramas with the G2. As you can with any camera.

Not sure if the supplied software that comes with the camera will let you though.

I have stitched panos in Photoshop manually and they came out fine.

Yes, better do it on post processing on a good editor

Get the great free program named "Hugin" off the net. It works beautifully, and will even try to correct differences in WB and exposure when it stitches. It does not work with RAW files, but if you convert to TIFF first you do get the best quality.

Hugin is even quite fantastic with the foreground of panoramas where stuff may be mirrored because of movement of the camera.
 
I've taken several panoramas with the G2. Obviously you set exposure and aperture first using the 'M' (or use the AE/AF lock) and make sure you fix the ISO as well.

Here's one stitched up using PTGui, which is marvellous program:
