dpp or Photoshop ellaments 9 for raw?

I am using a G11 and with a lot of very poor light in the last few months most photos have been used from RAW imiges. I have been using DPP and Paint Shop Pro X. I have had the chance to change program and decided as most information on using such programs is tied into Photoshop and Elements that’s the way to go.

But is it better to carry on using DPP for the raw processing/printing or do this in elements?

We had found output to our Cannon MP630 printer was improved by using Plug in printing (to Easy- PhotoPrint) even those my wife produced from a Sony camera via PSPX are print better through DPP! Will we be best advised to carry on pointing this way?
