This is interesting, how exactly do you hold a small camera?

Sorry I haven't checked back for a while.

Left and right thumbs at the bottom, left and right index fingers at the top. All other fingers spread and slightly curled. Squeeze the shutter button with your right index finger nail. The feel is much crisper, especially when you have to press half way for focus.

The ensures minimal camera shake and also ensures that you do not inadvertently block the flash.

I also does not depend on the size of your hands. Many people with big hands found it difficult to hold a compact in the traditional way.

But I now see that Leica is actually selling a grip as an option, so I don't think they actually know how to properly hold a compact camera, either. I have to retract my original post.
