E-30 with Leica lenses (3 imgs)
As former owner of Leica lenses, and current owner of the PL 14-50, I was curious how original Leica lenses would behave on the E-30. So, I bought myself an adapter, borrowed a summicron 50mm and an elmarit 90mm from my father and made some samples.
These lenses are both Leitz-versions, so at least 30 years old. And what do you expect from these oldies on a modern camera? Well, it is amazing! First, a few observations:
1. manual focussing is quite difficult, at least at home in darker scenery;
2. At wider apertures, ghosting is sometimes noticable;
3. the lenses are quite small in comparison with the fat PL 14-50, they seem mFT-lenses;
4. mechanical still very, very beautiful
So, here a few samples. The first one with the 50mm, the second and third 90mm
What do you think?
