This is exactly what happened to me. I have a D3 and a D3s. there has not been a single shutter click on the D3 since I opened the D3s box. Of course, there is no weight or size advantage. Get a NEX and a pancake lens if you want to go light and don't mind diminished capability.

I will always prefer small and light but I think if I had both a D7000 and D700 sitting on my table, no matter what I was planning to shoot, I would invariably grab the best. D700.

If only money was not an issue for me. I prey for great tonality and DR in the D7000 reveiws!
