FinePix X100

Haven't Fuji dropped the ball with the X100? - Surely such a camera requires interchangeable lenses. I can't see the purpose in a camera that forces the user to only have a fixed 35mm (equivalent) lens. I'd love an affordable "rangefinder" with interchangeable lenses, similar to the Leica M9 but within the financial capabilities of the ordinary Joe. When I first saw the X100, I though "Great - finally a rival to the impossibly expensive M9" then the bubble popped when I saw it had a fixed lens, which (for me) makes the exercise useless.

Does anyone else have similar views?

To completely digress, a friend lent me his Lumix LX5 last week. Initial impression was extremely positive. It's a little gem and did a remarkably good job for a small sensor camera. The results were better than the K10 Pentax 10MP DSLR I used to have and virtually as good as the K7.
