200VR II: Most boring lens announcement of the year?

I've been the happy owner of the "old" 200VR for a few years. What a great lens!
Nikon D3 ,Nikkor 200mm f/2G IF-ED AF-S VR
1/3200s f/2.0 at 200.0mm iso200

Nikon D3 ,Nikkor 200mm f/2G IF-ED AF-S VR
1/800s f/2.2 at 200.0mm iso200

When I look at the announcement of the "new" 200VR II, I see that it has 1) Nano coat, 2) VR II and 3) a higher price.

I've rarely found myself yearning for better VR with this f/2 lens, especially when being used on a high ISO FX body (D3).

Nano coat?

While I understand the usefulness in some lenses in decreasing internal reflections, this has not been a problem I've noticed on the "old" 200VR.

This appears to me to be the most significant change!

Am I missing something?

Can anyone think of a lens in Nikon's current line up that was in less need of a new version?

Best Regards,
