Makes Sense, In My Case (D40x-D60 Price>D80 Price)

In my case, I had a D40-D5000 pairing, the D40 being the "everyday" camera my wife & I share, the D5000 being the "top" model. I was trying to upgrade the D40 to a D40x, D60 or D3000 (all of which, in fact, I had owned before in this slot) so as to have at least 10mp (vs 6mp) in the "base" or "everyday" model.

However, I've been unable to find one at a decent price lately, and gave up. Stumbled across a D80 for $320, compared that to someone selling a D60 for $370 and thought--might as well just have a D80 in that slot.

In fact, I've sold my D5000 too--exactly a year after getting it--in anticipation of getting a D90 soon. I liked my D5000 overall but really missed the larger viewfinder from where I had a D80 and D200 before. So, it looks like ultimately I'll have a D80-D90 pairing soon.
