NEX-5 videos don't look like 60fps

I agree with most of what you say, and certainly that we need manual control over settings for video, badly.

The problem of shallow dof for moving subjects or quick video is autofocus on the wrong subject. And on the NEX, you cannot even select a narrow focus point in video (the fcous options are also crippled in video) so what the camera focuses on is often not what you want or not what you want quickly. So, the subject you want is out of focus and something else is in focus; discard! You can go manual focus, but that just does not work well for quick moving subjects in candid street video all the time.

I have both cameras precisely as complements - control over dof when I can control stuff (NEX), and wide dof when it is not possible. And the video quality doesn't seem to differ much in good light - no?
