The smallest 35mm rangefinder lens ... (via RFF)

... is NOT the CV 35/2.5 Color Skopar Pancake, but this:

It's called the "Super Triplet Perar", and is a design based on the late-19th-century Cooke triplet, albeit in a modern interpretation. It's been developed by Miyazaki-san from MS Optical R&D, and available via their retailer japanexposures.com.

Judging by the sample pix available, it seems to be on par with other modern rangefinder optics.
