Regular APS-C sensor is about 6.5x larger than a 2/3" sensor. That's roughly 2 and 1/2 stops noise performance. Not terrible but it means any current SLR with a standard kit zoom is going to be better at low light than an f/2 Pro2. The versatility of the Pro2 would be nice but there's just not much of a market for larger $1000 cameras without interchangeable lenses anymore. Heck, there's plenty of Panasonic fans waiting for a true successor to the FZ-50 at $500 or so. Only Fuji makes a superzoom with a 1/1.8" sensor anymore.

There was some rumor that a Pro2 would be Canon's first response to the mirrorless system cameras. I'm sure it'd satisfy a small subset of people, but I doubt it'd be the same as the people buying NEX, NX and u4/3.
