Brazilian Air Force Smoke Squadron

Hi:

So much of their routine is like another first. Their take offs and the whole squadron flying inverted in formation sure is eye popping.

Taken with the A350 and 18-250 Tamron.

Hi CC,

I posted this response to you on the Sony forum and then realized that with the new cameras being discussed this thread was going to get lost over there for sure.

I don't want to burst your bubble about the only North American stop but they performed yesterday at the air show in Atlantic City. In spite of lousy weather they put on quite a show.

It's going to take a few days to get to processing all the photos from the show but I'll post some in the near future.

At my age, I probably didn't get the correct facts and I'm glad you got to see them. Looking forward to seeing your shots. Will check the other forum.

They sure are different than our Snowbirds, Blue Angels and Thunderbirds but not the pilots and crew - great guys and I enjoyed meeting them.

I´m very pleased to know you enjoyed our Smoke Squadron, in portuguese we call them "Esquadrilha da Fumaça".
Here in Brazil they are a huge motive of pride for all the nation.
Can´t wait for more pictures of the show.

When I first read this thread, I thought you might be on holiday down in Brazil!
Possibly looking for some new chasers of the girls in thongs!

But then I realized it was about planes, so I knew it was all good.

Sounds like they perform a nice routine. I would like to see it someday.
