More accurate to call it the 600D?

Someone mentioned in another post the new camera should be called the 600D; and I feel this has merit.

Both the 550D and the 60D offer:

  • an 18 Megapixel APS-C CMOS sensor

  • a DIGIC 4 processor with ISO 100-6400 (expansion to 12800)

  • full HD movie recording with manual control and selectable frame rates

  • a 9-point AF system with one extra-sensitive cross–type point at the centre for f/2.8 or faster lenses

  • the iFCL metering system first launched in the EOS 7D

  • SD card storage

  • exposure compensation up to plus or minus five stops

  • a polycarbonate body over a steel shell.

  • the 60D also offers 5.3 fps vs 550D's 3.7fps, a larger, arguably more ergonomic body, and a quick control dial.
