You are correct. Both lenses share a common design (5 elements in 3 groups). OTOH, the Panasonic is 100 gms lighter and 9mm shorter. Thanks for pointing this one out; I may get one myself, as I do piggyback astrophotography and this one would be less of a burden on my small telescope. Good reviews too!
