Are there any generic inks that truly match OEM?

It depends

On the type of printer, ink, and expectations. For the Epson 3800 for example, Jon Cone produces a wonderful k2 ink that mimics OEM quite well with the exception of pK. I'm testing IJF's V3 ink for the K2 in set and preliminary results suggest that it is exceedingly comparable with deeper pK. In terms of longevity, the word is still out and I would steer you towards Mark McCormick's work at Aardenburg Imaging.
