Memory Installation Confusion

The board has 6 slots (2 slots per channel x 3 channels). Does this mean if I use DDR3-1600 memory chips I can only use one slot from each channel? But if I use DDR3-1333 memory chips I can populate all 6 slots?
Sounds right. This is not unusual for motherboards, as the higher speed ram may require more voltage, thus can only supply 3 slots. Imho I'd get the 1333 ram, as you won't notice the difference in real world use. This way you can add more ram later.
So, if I buy 6 megs of ram (3 sticks of 2 megs each), I can not put any more ram onto this board. That right?
You may be able to add them, but they probably won't run at full speed. You may get around this with manual timings and settings, but I don't own an X58 system, and don't know the tweaking ins and outs.
