Best affordable f1.4 lens?

I really like the FD 50mm f1.4 too, but I have to admit that I have no much experience on premium manual primes. Be aware that FD 50mm f1.4 is not sharp below f2 and also at f2.8 it is visibly sharper than f2 (because of CA?). The lenses in general are not sharp wide open, so don't just look the specs, but also consider e.g. f1.8 lenses that actually are sharp at f2-f2.8 (if there are any). Also I would guess that, composition being the same, the bokeh taken with a f2 and a 'busy bokeh' lens is still better than a bokeh taken with f2.8 and "good bokeh" lens. In that sense all the bokeh quality discussion is in my opinion rather pointless when considering
