Yosemite Mt Dana photos
It has been ages since I last posted here... After submitting some entries to the SD9 and SD14 challenges, I'd like to share some recent photos of a hike to Mt. Dana at the eastern edge of Yosemite National Park.
Mt. Dana is only 3 miles from the road but since I drove from sea level to 10K feet (3K meters) elevation without allowing for adjustment to the thin air, altitude sickness was immediately felt and it took me 3.5 hours to reach the summit. 2 marmots were there welcome hikers! Also saw pikas along the trail but didn't have a chance to take photos before they disappeared.
The view from the 2nd highest peak of Yosemite is fantastic. Mono Lake is nearly completely visible.
