I should qualify my statements I guess.

It's not the brightness for viewing or focusing as much as the DOF. I'm more interested in this lens for portrait work and f2.8 just isn't bright enough or fast enough.

My 50mm f2 is very good for portraits. I've had a 30mm f1.4 which was very good as well. So yes I do know exactly how bright f2.8 is. But as I mentioned it's not brightness for brightness sake but for DOF sake. I realize this is less critical for macro work where most need more.

As to sharpness I see no excuse for a Leca branded prime in this price range to be beaten by a kit zoom. I see no excuse for it to be beaten by other, cheaper 4/3 lenses.

Same for it's OIS.

That's not to say that folks that work outside the lenses limitations can't get some great photos. I won't pay that kind of price for a lens with these limitations but others are free tt do so. But don't call this pro grade glass because it just isn't.
