really people should treat NEX files as 1080p30 because everything treat them as p30 and they are p30, i60 is just a number that doesn't matter (think of it as zip file, you can store in it whatever you want even videos, this doesn't mean the videos are played as zip file but as what they are originally, the i60 is just the stoage file, every Canon camcorder that record AVCHD 1080P30 does the same (they are stored as i60 file)

I am used to dealing with the output from Sony camcorders that shoot 1920 x 1080 50i and have to be deinterlaced, so the NEX would be much better from an editing POV.
