Most versatile focal length for macro

Hi all,

I'm in the market for a macro lens (probably Sigma) by the looks of things, and I'm trying to work out what the most versatile focal length will be.

I mainly shoot flowers and bugs, but I want to expand to include things like textures (stone and bark). When shooting bugs, I'll often use a flash on a flash bracket, so parallel with the camera, but left or right of the lens.

My choices appear to be 50mm, 105mm and 150mm. I'm pretty sure that 50mm is too short for bugs, so in reality I'm trying to choose between 105mm and 150mm.

Any advice on the plusses or minusses to these lengths would be most appreciated.
