E-600: how to compare JPEG IQ with FZ8, F20?

My E-600/2 lenses have now come back from Olympus Service with a note saying "Adjusted, verified, cleaned, 6 months warranty".

After taking some careful people shots yesterday I am still seriously underwhelmed.

How can I, simply but fairly, compare the IQ of out-of-camera JPEGs from my E-600 (12.3 MP) with the IQ of out-of-camera JPEGs from my FZ8 (7.2 MP) and F20 (6.3 MP)?

Obviously - on tripod with shutter delay - same time, same scene, same light, similar settings . . .

But do I resize the bigger images of the E-600 and FZ8 to the 6.3 MP of the F20, then view them at 100%?

Gear: Panasonic FZ8, Fuji F20, Olympus E-600/14-42/40-150.
Wish List:
1: Minimalist FZ9, same shape/size/weight as FZ5.
2: Failing that, an FZ35/38 with a better EVF and a tilt-swivel LCD
3: Noise reduction that can be switched OFF.
