Sigma 17-50mm f/2.8 OS samples @ lenstip published a gallery with Sigma 2.8/17-50 images, most of them taken with a relatively large aperture (f/2.8-f/4.0):

They are a bit disappointing for such an expensive lens. The 'soft corners at f/2.8' are not just the 'extreme' corners (in the WA range), and the problem is still visible at f/3.5-4.0 depending on zoom setting. As with my 15-85, the problem seems to vary a bit between images, sometimes it looks acceptable (even at f/2.8) and sometimes pretty bad stopped down to f/3.5-4.0.

I was hoping the 17-50OS would be a step up in image quality from my 15-85IS (which also has a soft border/corner problem). But judging from these pictures the 17-50 is not really better, while the 15-85 has the advantage of better zoom range.
