Re: S90 and DXO Optics?

Hi all,

Had a chance to download and play a bit with DXO last night on my S90 and 40D files.

Then looked at some reviews DXO vs Lightroom.

My take is DXO is great for Lens corrections
very good at dealing with lens Blur and correcting.

Not sure if any advantage to using it's Un-Sharp mask at default as oppose to sharping in Photoshop, ect?

Noise reduction at default is good but a tad to strong for my taste, would lower the default settings.

Auto white balance is a weak link. images come out warm, and the Eye dropper corrction is very basic. I enjoy the temp presets in Canon's DPP much more.

When I have a chance will download and play with Lightroom. Any views from all of you, lightroom vs DXO

My biggest points of intereste is colore accucy as well as pulling out the most detail and keeping noise down, not out just down, a little noise never bothers me. The lens correction in DXO is nice, but with my landscaps, I seldom worry about lens distortion.
