I use a Pentax K100D ( ) and an MZ-S for BW film. I really envy the Canon guys with a two zoom solution for the most used flengths, the 24-70/2.8 and the 70-200/2.8. We Pentaxians have only the Tamron and Sigma 70-200, the first known for focus issues and the second for so-so IQ. There is the FA * 80-200, but rarity rulse it out.

So, what do we have in the 70-200 range? FF is important to me.

Canon has 24-70/2.8 + 70-200/2.8 pro lenses for their pro FF bodies. Pentax has the 16-50/2.8 and 50-135/2.8 for their APS-C bodies, which have equivalent field of view to 24-75mm and 75-202mm lenses on FF.

As for a 70-200 that would work well on both your K100D and MZ-S, your choice is somewhat limited by your K100D not supporting HSM, which rules out the recently announced Sigma 70-200/2.8 OS HSM (with FLD glass). Id look at the Tamron 70-200/2.8, it seems to have the best IQ at 200mm.
